Rove Adds JetBlue TrueBlue + Limited-Time 20% Transfer Bonus
Justin Vacula of the Hurdy Gurdy Travel Podcast welcomes Carissa Rawson from Rove to discuss Roveβs new JetBlue TrueBlue partnership and a limited-time 20% transfer bonus running from October 15 through November 14, 2026.
Rove Miles transfer to JetBlue TrueBlue at a 1:1 ratio, and during the promotional period, 10,000 Rove Miles become 12,000 TrueBlue points. Justin and Carissa also explain how Rove works as a free travel rewards platform that does not require a credit card.
Users can earn Rove Miles through hotel bookings, flights, shopping, dining, gift cards, referrals, and other activities. The episode also covers JetBlueβs economy experience, free Wi-Fi, Mint business class, and the airlineβs expanding partnership with United Airlines.
Justin and Carissa discuss how JetBlue TrueBlue fits into Roveβs growing list of transfer partners and how travelers might use the new partnership for domestic and international award travel. Rove now has 22 transfer partners, with several other transfer bonuses available around the same time, including bonuses to Japan Airlines Mileage Bank, Qatar Airways Privilege Club, and Air France-KLM Flying Blue.
A listener question also covers Roveβs international availability. Rove is currently limited to U.S. residents and uses a U.S. +1 phone number as part of account verification. Carissa also shares updates on the Rove app, including Android availability, upcoming poissible holiday promotions, instant-earning Rove gift cards, and other product developments coming to the platform.

Travel at low cost with points and miles. Credit card rewards bring the smiles. Many adventures, tales to be told. Make and save money, the world will unfold
Fight the war on happiness, pick up the gold. Hurdy Gurdy Travel Podcast breaks the mold You’re listening to the Hurdy Gurdy Travel Podcast. I’m your host, Justin Vacula, here to help you make money, save money, and travel the world at low cost. Carissa Rawson from Rove joins me today to discuss Rove’s new transfer partner, JetBlue, and a limited time 20% transfer bonus. We also discuss other Rove developments.
Thanks again, Carissa, for joining me today, October 13th, 2026. Welcome back to the [00:01:00] show. Hey, thanks for having me This is me. My name is Justin, after all. There were some accusations that I’m actually Adam, but that’s not true. Are you Carissa? We just wanna make sure. I’m actually Rebecca.
I didn’t know how to tell you, Adam, that I’m actually Rebecca. All right. You are with Rove, that’s for sure. You’ve been on the show many times. We’ve talked about Rove, and for those interested in Rove, if you like what you hear, I have a sign-up link in the show notes.
Can you give us a short description of what Rove is? Rove is a travel rewards platform like you’ll find with, Amex, Chase, Citi, Capital One. We allow you to earn transferable Rove Miles on your purchases. Our biggest differentiator is that we do not have a credit card tied to our program, so it’s completely free to use.
You don’t have to pay any annual fees. And the multipliers that we offer on some of the different things, like spending, are really high. So for hotels, it’s up to 25 Rove Miles per dollar spent, and then you can transfer to our different transfer partners.
And then we also have online shopping, [00:02:00] in-store shopping dining, and flights that you can all use to earn Rove Miles. Gift cards also a recent- Yeah … addition, too. Instant earning gift cards, which are sold by Rove, which means that we’re able to post your miles instantly. So they’re a really good way to top up on a balance.
For example if you need t- just 5,000 more Rove Miles to transfer to Flying Blue and get an award that’s a really good way to do it. You can also refer friends. There was a lamentation recently about how they didn’t have 15 friends to refer, I think it was, so they couldn’t get the maximum points.
I also don’t have 15 friends to refer, everybody I know at this point has Rove, I made the promotion, and I was like, man, I really shot myself in the foot there. So maybe the next one. It’s all over. End the show. We don’t have infinite friends.
Yeah. Sorry. You added a new partner, JetBlue, TrueBlue, as a transfer partner. We have a 20% transfer bonus from October 15th, 2026 through November 14th, [00:03:00] 2026. Because America loves math, 10,000 Rove becomes 12,000 JetBlue. Yeah. I am super excited about this. It has been a long time coming with JetBlue. Rove is only, a year and a half old.
When we launched, we had the 12 partners, and there were a lot of questions about legitimacy and longevity as a program, and I think hopefully most of those have been put to rest. But I think having a big domestic airline like JetBlue as a partner is the signal that I want to have everybody see to be like, “Hey, actually by the way, Rove is real.”
JetBlue very helpful for those who live in Massachusetts, maybe they’re near a JetBlue hub, maybe they’re flying out of LaGuardia, many other locations that JetBlue can service.
JetBlue is my go-to for Qsuites flights.
After Qatar restricted so much AA access I don’t often faff around and try to do like Avios with Qsuites. [00:04:00] So JetBlue’s a little bit more expensive. It should actually equate out with this transfer bonus. It’s a really good way to book Qsuite flights, and they often have much better availability.
I’ve also flown from Boston to Philadelphia, Boston to Las Vegas, Boston to Amsterdam, Boston to London. Lots of good opportunity on the East Coast. As a West Coast person, my experience with JetBlue flights was pretty limited, but now I’ve moved, to New York and I thought that their marketing about having the most legroom and the best economy class experience was fluff.
I really did. But I’ve now flown them a few times, and it is a noticeably better experience as somebody who has no elite status with JetBlue. I’ll still be in row 33 in seat A, but oh, I can stretch my legs out. Oh, the food is a little bit better, the Wi-Fi is free. I’ve been really impressed with their economy class experience too.
They often advertise gate-to-gate Wi-Fi, which is a nice benefit. Yeah, especially like when I’m flying during a workday . [00:05:00] Sometimes it’ll go out, but in my experience it’s been mostly reliable. But always bring a backup plan. I often hear the lamentations about the lack of in-flight entertainment or the Wi-Fi not working, but always bring your own entertainment and something to do Yeah, I actually don’t use a lot of in-flight entertainment anymore.
I mostly just have my cell phone or computer or tablet that I bring with me. I have the Nintendo Switch 2 thanks to American Express Dell credits, so that’s also a good option. Yeah, I think I overplayed Tears of the Kingdom and kinda gave myself some bad hand cramps, so I’m off my Switch for a while.
But yes, I agree. A little break. JetBlue Mint is the premium product. Have you flown JetBlue Mint? I have flown it twice actually. Way back in the day, right when Mint was brand new, oh, it was so cool they would let you do status match challenges, and so I did one for that. I wanna say that was transcon.
A couple of months ago did [00:06:00] from London over to New York, and it was really good. It remains an excellent experience, and I’ll fight anybody who tries to tell me American is better or Delta is better. Maybe United Polaris is about equivalent, but JetBlue’s really good.
You get the lie flat, the- Yeah … good service in my experience, a drink menu, lots of snacks, the entrees that come out, I think pretty good overall. Yeah, a lot of space. That’s, for me, that’s a lot of space. I hate American’s… the new cabins are cool, whatever the flagships we said they’re installing.
I hate the diagonal screens that they have that you have to put away for takeoff and landing. And the JetBlue ones just are much more spacious, lots of flights to the Caribbean as well. That could be an option. I feel like you could probably stay in an all-inclusive using your Rove miles and then fly down on JetBlue using your, what?
Rove miles? Yeah. Who knew with JetBlue? Yeah. JetBlue also recently partnered with United, so you [00:07:00] could use JetBlue TrueBlue points or miles to fly with United. Some of these rates admittedly aren’t the best, but it is an option, and you might find some lesser fares. Yeah, I’ve seen that. I think it, what’s it called?
The Blue Sky Partnership, and I think they’re even increasing all of the reciprocal benefits . I haven’t done a ton of digging into it like you. I did a couple searches when they first announced it. I didn’t see anything that I was in love with, specifically for United pricing, but maybe, I can have a look and see if anything has improved or as they add more stuff, if that would be something that would be a good fit for my points,
maybe a case of if you lack Chase cards, you lack united points or miles, then you could use the JetBlue to fly with United. That would be a really good use case.
Always subject to change, of course. Yeah. And instead of transferring points, you can also search for live TrueBlue JetBlue award availability directly through Rove, and you could compare that to JetBlue’s website. [00:08:00] Yeah.
I’ll beat the drum about this for as long as possible, but that our flight award search tool is deeply underrated because adding in multi-cabin, multi-fare cash and miles pricing into a single search is pretty groundbreaking.
Obviously our only limitation being that we only search our partners but instead of having to do one partner at a time or one cabin at a time or cash at a time versus miles, it makes it very simple. How long might it take for the Rove miles to transfer to JetBlue? Is it instant?
Might there be some delay? It’s instant. Very good. Yeah. It would be unfortunate to see availability, then the points don’t transfer, and it gets sold out.
Don’t wait until the last minute of the day to take advantage of the transfer bonus. Leave a little bit of breathing room on that, but other than that, yeah, it’s instant 22 current transfer partners.
We’ve been on a roll. I was at a conference last week and doing a panel and just talking about how the landscape has changed for [00:09:00] Rove in the last year because we used to be doing a lot of join us,” ’cause we were an unestablished company.
We were so new. And now it’s kinda flipped, and the airlines are like, “Can we join? Can we join?” And that’s really cool. That’s really cool to see. As many as, as are a good fit for Rove members, yeah, we’ll add ’em. Awesome. Now you have subway ads in New York, so that must count for something too.
I’m so excited. Did you see the video we went on the scavenger hunt? Your bag’s from Uzbekistan, and now it’s the subway. What kind of company is this? Like- What did I join? Yeah You also have other transfer bonuses. We’re recording in mid-October 2026, and some of these others are going through the end of October 2026.
Yeah, so we will now, as of the 15th of October, have four concurrent transfer bonuses running, which is absolutely insane. Of course, we’ve got the TrueBlue, which is at 20% through November [00:10:00] 14th. And then we have 50% to JAL, which is through October 31st. We have up to 35% on Qatar, which again is through the 31st, and we have 40% on Flying Blue, again through the 31st.
But I will say for those three, they’re all at different time zones just check the fine print ’cause they’re not all Eastern Time or anything. The best practice once again, don’t wait until the last minute.
Imagine you found a saver award in business or first class, and then you miss it by 45 seconds on a transfer ’cause you fat-fingered your email or something.
I would cry. It’s December 31st. You mean I shouldn’t wait until the last day to use all my Hilton credits, Dell credits- … dining credits, and more?
I did it on the 29th. I knew I was being risky, and th- I got- Okay, 29th I got- 29th not horrible. No, I still didn’t post in time.
I s- but- Ah … I did it to myself, so yeah. War on happiness

Subscriber Pablo, thanks for your support, asks, “Does Rove have any plans to open the Rove Miles portal to users in other countries like Brazil?” We are a US platform right now, and obviously that’s limited to people who have a plus one phone number. I would love to see us grow internationally.
I think that has always been the plan. I can’t say how quickly we’ll be able to do that, but, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Rove Brazil or Rove Canada even, Rove EU coming up, as soon as possible really. So we’ll see. If they have a US phone number, are they eligible to use Rove?
I will tell you that you must be a US resident in order to have a Rove account, and we verify your US residency by having a plus one phone [00:12:00] number. All right. Very good. Yeah. Hope springs eternal.
Any other developments with Rove? We’re so busy.
Everyone should keep their eyes peeled. Justin, I’ve already let slip to you some of the deets of things that will be happening in before the end of the year. I will say that everyone should earn a lot of Rove miles, as many as possible, because it’s gonna matter a lot through the end of the year.
That’s what I’ll say. Very good. What might the schedule be for future months if there is one for new promotions, new offers? In terms of new promotions, we’re coming up into the holiday season, so definitely for like a Black Friday, Cyber Monday Travel Tuesday sort of thing, keep eyes peeled.
We just wrapped up a Rove the World campaign which was boosted multipliers on merchants, travel merchants. But obviously we’ll do a lot bigger for Black Friday. Like we did last year, we did double miles on a bunch of stores, and we had elevated earnings on loyalty eligible.
So we’ll see. We’re developing. We hired somebody, her name is [00:13:00] Shilpa, and she helps us with growth, which is really good. We add a billion new features every day, essentially, but she’s helping us with building out things that I wanna see, for example, in marketing. I would really like to be able to offer, I don’t know, something like I love to see how Alaska does spend $200, get 2,000 Alaska miles on shopping.
So toying around those kinds of ideas. So if we could get anything like that off the ground, I’d love to have that.
How has it been going with the Rove app? Really good. Really good. The Android app is fully out. If anyone would like to give us a good review, we would really appreciate it especially on the Android store, you guys.
When we launched it, we didn’t geo-restrict it, and people downloaded the app, and then of course, because we’re a US platform, they couldn’t sign up, and so they review bombed it. Oh. So if anybody- Oh, no … would like to. Yeah. The, the pirates from Uzbekistan fired back? Truly. It was bleak, man. So if anyone would like to help us out with that, that would be really helpful.
But the app’s been r- going really well. We’ve gotten really good feedback [00:14:00] about the design the usability, and we’re tweaking it. We’re refining it, changing things where there’s feedback, so if anybody has feedback, I’m all ears. Would love to hear it. Yeah. I’m just glad we finally have it.
I’m outside of the country. I tried to use a US app. One star. That’s what happened? Great. Yeah, that’s exactly like s- sorry. Sorry. That’s all I can say, “i flew to Amsterdam and I wanted to use FanDuel even though they only have online gambling in PA.” One star. 0.5 stars. Does not work. Oh. Yeah.
It’s over. It’s definitely over for Rove now. I know.
How has it been going with giftcards.com? We’ve brought this up in past episodes where giftcards.com lowered the earning rates, as they used to be higher, but the war on happiness continues. I think it’s 0.6 now for MasterCards. Any developments on this? No. The ones sold by Rove are so successful that’s really [00:15:00] where we’re looking at focusing our energy and adding more brands to that.
There’s a lot of positive feedback. Everyone’s thrilled that they’re not waiting 100 stupid days to get their miles. In terms of Visa and MasterCard, if I could get them on our platform, I’d love to. Otherwise, I don’t know. If we could have leverage, we would, is all I can say about that.
That seems like a regulatory mess of becoming a partner with Blackhawk Network or some of these other providers. Yeah, I feel like it would be, correct, regulatory mess. But the third-party gift cards can have definitely higher rates, the Panera, PetSmart, Petco, those P’s of the world.
Yeah, they’re quite easy. I’ve seen a ton of them with gigantic earnings and which is cool. Being able to use your credit card and earn your rewards on your credit card, and then in addition, get your, Rove miles on your purchase, and then be able to go buy your item.
I don’t know, it’s pretty cool. Very good. Any other developments?
I think that’s it for now [00:16:00] until probably next month when I have something else to tell you. The Rove Report will continue. I know. I know. I didn’t even, I don’t think we ever set out for this to be a monthly thing, but then we kept on launching things, and I was you know what? Let’s do it.”
Let’s have another, do it live. Right? Yeah. When I was at that conference last week I was on a panel with Clear and Southwest, and I was like, “Hey, Southwest, if you need any partners, we’re always looking.” So they kinda laughed, but I was like, “Yeah, not really a joke.”
Did the Clear representative pull out a highlighter and ask you to go to a different line? No. But she did give me a code to try out Clear Concierge, and I can’t wait I wanna give it a shot. I’m so interested in it.
And to remind listeners, it’s a 20% transfer bonus October 15th, 2026 through November 14th, 2026. 10,000 Rove will become 12,000 JetBlue. It’s a 20% limited time transfer bonus Rove to JetBlue.
