👤 About the Host

Justin Vacula brings a background in Philosophy and Psychology, plus prior experience in Mental Health Counseling and Poker, into his approach to practical and strategic content. Influenced by Stoic Philosophy (featured in his previous project, the Stoic Solutions Podcast), he emphasizes calm, calculated decision-making and long-term thinking in travel, finance, and life to experience joy and find meaning.

🎵 Why “Hurdy Gurdy”?

The podcast’s name reflects its quirky and creative spirit—named after the hurdy gurdy, a medieval instrument featured in one of Justin’s favorite bands Cellar Darling. Justin once interviewed the band, also influenced by Stoic Philosophy, and was invited to a meet-and-greet at their NYC concert.
