You’re listening to the Hurdy Gurdy Travel Podcast, I’m your host, Justin Vacula, here to help you make money, save money, and travel the world, at next to no cost with credit card points, miles, benefits, and loyalty programs. Stay four nights at Calala Island, even with Hilton Free night certificates and get paid $2,510 in cold hard cash after your stay.

You better believe that I booked it. [00:01:00] Today’s a great opportunity to bring back James from the Churn and Burn Podcast to discuss this amazing time-limited opportunity and possible pitfalls, which can include thousands of dollars in cancellation or no-show fees, missing an airport transfer and other mishaps.

Sounds like a great promotion. Let’s discuss it potentially when there’s still availability. On with today’s episode recorded February 9th, 2026. Welcome back to the show, James. Yeah, really short turnaround too.

I just keep coming back. Now a $2,510 incentive. A very specific number, got me here as I’m making my route, stopping at grocery stores, trying to use some BILT cash at local dining facilities, right? And my $10 Walgreens credit, total success. And I see this thing pop up. Danny, the deal guru is advertising this promotion for Calala Island.

That’s the first place that I saw. I get home, I try [00:02:00] to book and I was able to successfully book it. Let’s talk about why. The major reason is this cash incentive. I’ll read from their website, A decade of Calala Island, a message from the owners of Calala Island. 10 years ago, we opened the doors to a small island with a big heart, with a dream to share the untouched beauty of Nicaragua’s Caribbean coast, and it built something meaningful for the people and communities around us.

What began as a vision of true barefoot luxury has grown into something deeper, a way of life rooted in authenticity, conservation, and community. From the start, we have believed that true hospitality goes beyond the tangible. It is about respect for the land, its people, and the spirit that makes this place so special.

Over the past decade, Calala Island has become home not only to esteemed guests from around the world. To a team whose warmth and dedication embody the very essence of the island, [00:03:00] capital I and Island, our foundation, capital F continues to support local communities, protect endangered species such as the hawksbill turtle, and champion sustainable practices that ensure this paradise will be shared for generations to come.

As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we wanna mark the occasion with gratitude. Every booking made before 10 May, 2026, we’ll receive a u dollar sign two comma 5 1 0 payment. 2,510 USD payment. It’s a small gesture of our appreciation to the extraordinary guests who continue to shape Calala’s story. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

To raise a glass, share a memory, and begin the next decade together. Minimum stay of four nights applies, bookings must be confirmed by 10 May 26th for travel completed by 10. June 27. A payment of us. 2 5 1 0 per cabana per stay will be sent by wire transfer within 28 days of receiving complete payment information.

Following checkout offer valid from three Feb 26. Credit is non transferrable. Standard Calala Island booking and cancellation policies [00:04:00] apply. Wow, that was impressive. Oh, thank you. Thank you. I tried for my radio announcer voice and the promos. I can’t quite be Scott Steiner or Vince McMahon, but I can try here with Calala Island.

I don’t even know where to start. I have a lot of thoughts. I have a lot of history with this specific property, not personally, but on my pod, but the Churn and Burn podcast, make sure to promote. Oh, sure. Yes, that’s right. I have my own podcast as a lot of your listeners probably know at this point, the Churn and Burn podcast.

If anybody is wanting to know more about this property. They can dig up an episode where my friend Brandon did his full trip report. Before we talk about the property, Justin we really gotta dig into this insane offer. This is the only offer I’ve seen to date in points and miles that involved a wire transfer refund.

[00:05:00] And not just $2,500 2,510. This is just beyond the pale, right? Is the $10 paying for the possible wire transfer fee possible? There’s not even many accounts that would cover a fee in full, but I’m just thinking if you’re not a points and miles person, there’s a chance you’ve maybe done one or two wire transfers in your entire life.

Maybe, Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian. Some others might have received $2,500 incentives from certain stays. I just can’t even imagine what they were doing or thinking here. It’s such a specific amount. I have to ask why not a bank ACH? Maybe the 10 is a decade. It’s a decade. So they added the 10 I hope so.

I just don’t understand. It’s so bizarre. I’m not complaining. They said it’s a small gesture of appreciation. I think it’s a pretty big gesture. It’s really nice gesture. It’s a [00:06:00] substantial gesture. 28 days after checkout given you provide them your wire info.

You better believe I’m gonna have a printed paper with that wire info, and I’m gonna check with my bank before, Hey, I got this email from someone in your bank would probably flag it? Just gotta let you know. I just gotta let you know this is coming in and this is extremely legitimate, I promise.

It’s so legitimate. Justin. It’s from a Nicaraguan prince who is absolutely certain that these diamonds are coming. Yes. And it’s not just an inclusive island. They say it’s ultra all inclusive, and this is a very positive reason to go. They write on their site a term not used lightly. Here at Calala Island, virtually everything is included in our rates from a morning mimosa or three through an evening

digestive before bed. Parentheses our bar only closes when the last guest is asleep. [00:07:00] Exclamation point from casual poolside dining to formal evening tasting menus. Parentheses, our executive chef will cater to your tastes. And you will choose where to dine. Shout out to past podcast guest Deker. The gluten-free options will be there.

Yeah, that was not on the website. I just added that. And not to mention all the boring things like internal transfers and taxes and the fun stuff from fishing to snorkeling and almost everything you can think of in between. I have a lot to say about this place. I have a lot of acquaintances who have been, and really this property.

It became really quickly a cult favorite in the Points and Miles community almost immediately after it joined the Hilton portfolio. I wanna say originally it was like a hundred K, maybe 150 K to book it. Now it’s points, right? Yeah. 150 K Hilton. Yeah. I’m sorry. Yeah.

The cash rates seem to hover anywhere [00:08:00] between $2,000 all the way to maybe $4,000 for some of the peak nights. It used to be a Hyatt property a long time ago and back then it was still pretty bougie. It was like 40,000 Hyatt points a night. I’m almost positive it started maybe at a hundred, 120,000 Hilton per night, and it was an incredible deal. You could obviously redeem free night certs as well, and those used to be a little more plentiful when this property debuted, but there’s some logistical issues getting there that I probably should highlight you have to fly into Nicaragua.

I don’t think anybody’s gonna be shocked about that. No swimming, no hopefully. But then you have to connect to a place called Blue Fields. And from everything I’ve seen some of the airport terminals can be bare bones.

There’s gonna be a prop plan involved. There’s gonna be a very [00:09:00] long boat ride to the actual island, but if all that sounds really distasteful to people oh my gosh, this sounds worse than going to the Maldives from the East Coast. You have to understand this property is really unlike any other property you can book with points.

The only other one that I’m aware of that could even claim to be close to this would be the one in Panama, Bocas del Toro, but that’s a much more niche redemption with leading hotels of the world that I think a lot of people won’t even bother to look into. This is a legit, basically private island, right?

This is not like an overwater bungalow, Maldives thing. It’s a totally different vibe. Yeah, you’ve booked it, you’ve already started looking into it. Yes. So what are your thoughts? Yeah. I’m gonna channel the million dollar man here.

Everybody has a price. Honestly, if there weren’t the 2,510 incentive, I probably [00:10:00] wouldn’t do this. I would use my Hilton free nights in Taiwan or China as I’m planning to cruise out of there. But when I saw this, that I can get paid for travel and this is gonna give a lot of cool content. The experiences seem awesome.

The dining here, it says on their site, the Caribbean and fine dining is rarely a match to be seen. Here at Calala Island, we take our food seriously and our chefs are constantly pushing the boundaries to deliver sensational dining experiences. Whether it’s a casual poolside, lobster, brioche burger, or our formal evening tasting menus under the moonlight.

Dining at Calala Island is an experience you won’t forget. And looking on their website, I saw lots of food. Freshly caught lobster. Lobster pizza, lobster breakfast, coconut drinks. There’s a brick oven, they’re heating stuff in private bars, swim up bars. Lots of food. For the foodies out there, I think this is quite appealing.

And I don’t identify as a foodie by any means. [00:11:00] I’m looking for the frugal options and almost never spending money on food, but with the points and miles world using benefits, and now staying at an all-inclusive property, I think for the first time ever. That’s also a big appeal.

This place is insane. I’ve heard nothing but great things about the entire food and Bev experience from the alcohol, I think the alcohol is included unless they wanna sell you like $5,000 bottles.

Yeah. They, they do offer people that may or may not be paying like $4,000 cash a night like will I meet some celebrity there? Are people actually paying for this rather than just using Hilton Certs? Or will this be a miles and points meetup at Calala Island? Who are these other people who’s paying these $4,000?

That’s a great question. I do wonder if this is a points factory for Hilton. In all honesty. Oh, all the economics of points and miles. It’s sometimes, yeah. Very confusing. Wait, staples is selling fee free gift cards again, but how are they making money off of this? What’s the whole point?[00:12:00]

Why is Rio giving $30 a night and giving you meals and Hyatt qualifying nights? Oh, no, don’t kill that. Sorry. You joke, but I do think there’s a level of in on the joke that some of these properties are in, I think I had read 80% or some crazy percentage of bookings at Park Hyatt, New York City were on points.

I think this property’s probably in the same boat. If people are seriously looking at doing this and they’re like, wow, this looks too good to be true. It is insanely good with, there are a couple of caveats.

The cabanas are basically open air. There’s no heating or cooling, right? There’s gonna be some mosquito nets involved. The bathroom is also the showers outside. Obviously the climate there is gonna be amenable to that, but I’ll rough it up a little bit here. Yeah. We got 2,500 to play survivor with, eight people on the island. It’s just [00:13:00] sharing the island with a maximum of eight other guests are beautifully appointed in private beachfront suites. Make the perfect setting for you to enjoy our petite piece of Unspoiled Paradise, an entire private island just for you and your guests. With a discreet and dedicated team of over 25 staff to look after your Every Wish.

Calala Island can accommodate up to 10 adults across five suites. Maybe we’re not slumming it up too much, even if it’s a little hot. I suppose I can bring some fans with me and Neck fan, and it did say on the site that they provide bug spray. Yeah. And other items. Yeah, it’s 11 acres I’ve heard.

It’s very different reports on the bug situation. I know people who have been, that said they didn’t even notice bugs, and I actually know at least one person who said that their spray was completely ineffective and they were feasted upon, oh no everybody has a price. Right? My suspicion is it’s actually [00:14:00] seasonal like in Cancun where you’ll hear people say that the seaweed was completely trip destroying. And then other people will say it was fine, and then you find out it was completely based on when they were there. Oh, maybe I’ll roll the dice and get lucky because I also see more positives, massages, guitars, coconut drinks.

A lot of exotic birds, turtles, and maybe turtle clubs as well. Sloths. And I think you said that there’s a butler that’s provided for everyone too. I don’t know if that’s what they refer to the person as officially, but from what I understand, the staff basically outnumber the guests. And every cabana has their own staff member that’s assigned to them.

And you have a point of contact, right? Somebody you can touch base with. It sounds like I’m being really negative about this place, and, but , truthfully, [00:15:00] I’m just trying to get the negatives outta the way first the deal breakers, right? War on happiness.

War on happiness. I guess I’m guilty of it. But the truth is, the vast majority of people who go here it’s life changing. I’m not gonna sugarcoat it. I don’t know anybody who went that really had an overall bad time. Of course I would massively recommend this place. I know so many people who have been at this all on points.

They all raved about it. It really is paradisical to use a college word. Ooh, I Oh yeah. I like that. And we have here, the nearest international airport is, I’m going to try to say it correctly.

Manawa. That is correct. Okay. We take care of all transfers from the airport to and from Calala Island, including in our rates. We arrange a short internal flight to blue Fields, 50 minutes, followed by a scenic boat ride, 90 minutes to the island. Our representatives will accompany you throughout the journey.

We can also [00:16:00] arrange at an additional cost helicopter transfers direct to the island, but I think that would be way more than the $2,500 cash incentive. Can I use my BILT cash please? Is that possible? Could I just take a blade and get there? Is that I’ll DM Richard and see what he can do for you.

All right. We did invite him to come on the podcast as well, so hopefully that’ll still happen. Yeah, if I could just use my BILT cash to get to the island, even just one way that would be pretty, I’ll get him to call it in. I think he used to fly helicopters so he could totally hook you up. All right. I like it.

One pitfall here is that you must arrive the night before because this transfer occurs at six in the morning is what the phone rep said. Yes. You have to be at this location. You don’t want to be flying the same day. You have to get there early. I wouldn’t risk a red eye, so I’m going to pay the toll essentially and stay at a hotel near the airport. I saw there were two within walking distance. I think that’s the play, especially if the cash rate’s around a hundred bucks. Even if I can’t use points, just [00:17:00] book the hotel, not have to involve an Uber, not have to involve a taxi. I did see also that there was a travel advisory on this that said probably not travel, and I heard some anecdotal stories about some bribery and other negative things that someone would be driving to a destination.

They’d get pulled over and some officials were claiming that the driver broke a rule and had to pay a fine. That’s a story I heard. Yeah. But even without that, I think the play is to just be close to the airport, especially when you have to be there so early at six in the morning because a lot of things can go wrong and you don’t want to miss this great opportunity.

Now I’ll talk about the negatives is a 90 day cancellation policy and the phone rep said if I cancel by February 23rd, it’s a 50% penalty that you have to pay for the cash rate, and the rooms are about $4,000 a night, and if it’s a later cancellation, then you’re obligated to pay the full amount.

Unfortunately, I had to use a credit card [00:18:00] when I book this, so I have to be super, super sure to make the transfer. Yeah, get there the night before and not mess it up. I can afford to use some cash rates given the incentive if I have to, and it looks like the flight is American from Philadelphia to Miami and then Miami to the island.

And I could even play it super safe and not chance a layover, but the play is probably taking an early flight outta Philly to get to Miami and be sure and then go from Miami there and give myself some cushion. And I imagine many flights are gonna go from Philly to Miami. This is a similar thinking with a cruise that I’m not going to try to fly in the same day of a cruise because it would be disastrous missing the boat.

I know a few people who have dealt with it. I personally haven’t heard any horror stories as far as getting pulled over or anything completely untoward happening, but I have consistently heard people say you do have to have your wits about you.

Maybe some unsavory characters you’ll occasionally see, but you [00:19:00] know how these travel advisories are, Justin. It’s basically just be a good tourist and use common sense and I think you’ll be fine. Yeah, be there by 6:00 AM I think somebody like you’s not gonna have any issues and probably people who are gonna do this are gonna plan it well.

Excellent. Yes, the planning is in motion. We’ll take a short break for announcements and get back to the content. I’m here with James from the Churn and Burn Podcast talking about my upcoming stay at Calala Island, and a wonderful promotion offering a $2,510 cash incentive to make the stay.

I thought this was an obvious thing for me to do using Hilton Free night Certificates, and there might still be availability [00:22:00] if you’re lucky enough to have several certificates. What about things to do on Calala Island? Another positive, another reason for doing this, the website says whether you’re the adventure seeking type, the chill out type, or the party loving type, where a private island that will cater for you because will tailor to you.

I pulled up a list of activities that are included and I wanted to run a couple of these by you and get your thoughts on whether you do these when you’re there, Justin. Alright. I think I would score very high on the openness to experience in the big five personality factor. We’ll put that to the test here.

And you didn’t give me this list before. we’re going in completely cold guys. We’ll do it live. I’ll write it and we’ll do it live. The deserted island picnic. I’m reading this verbatim. Ooh. You’ll be whisked away to little Calala or a secluded spot where we will leave you [00:23:00] on your own.

On your own deserted island for an afternoon of Sun Sea swimming and snorkeling, you’ll be stocked with the picnic hamper for your indulgence and experience. Complete privacy with just your loved one and a paradise island for company. Oh, so there’s only maybe 25 staff, maybe 10 adults on the island.

If you want some more alone time, if you wanna be introverted for a little bit, hey, we’ll give you this picnic basket. And, there’s my impression on that Yogi Bear or Italian. I don’t know what happened there, but I’m sure they’ll give you what you would like and you could just spend some time alone.

It sounds fun. Yeah, it’s like a Gilligan simulation. Ooh, I like it. I wonder what Dave Ramsey would think about it because he says, Hey, don’t use miles and points and credit cards. Just pay for your travel. Maybe we should just forget all this and just pay $4,400 to have this perhaps once in a lifetime opportunity.

It’s [00:24:00] probably a portal straight to hell. Yeah that’s right. That’s right. What do we have number two on the list? It’s a rum tasting. Enjoy a journey through the taste ooh and rum in Nicaragua and the Caribbean from a variety of Lord decon rums with select aging processes at the bottom of Nicaragua’s largest volcano to the smallest distilleries in the local communities at the Caribbean coast.

I think that can be a cool opportunity. One band that I really like, it’s a pirate metal band called Alestorm. Yeah, I’m sure I’ve mentioned them on the podcast and they have a song called Rum so you can sing along while you’re drinking it. Rum is the power, rum is the key. Rum is the thing that will set us free. Questing the oceans and questing the seas. Searching for ultimate booze on our mission to get totally drunk. We’ve got nothing to lose. Maybe we would do the rum experience at 10:00 PM and not in the morning and lose the day. This would be the ideal location to get [00:25:00] blackout wasted.

The team of 25 staff is very dedicated. I’m assuming that you could pretty easily get your wifi turned off here and you’re not gonna have a signal other than the island wifi, so you don’t have to worry about, tweeting that rum infused cancellation thought on Calala.

There’s another song, hangover by Tayo Cruz, which Alestorm also covers. I’ve got a hangover. Whoa. I’ve been drinking too much for sure. I’ve got a little trashed last night I got a little wasted it’s the Calala rum tasting. I’m on the roof if you don’t know. Cook some lobster. Learn how to cook the lobster pizza in the brick oven. You joke, but it says they’ll teach you how to cook any dish on the menu. Ooh. So yes. And then eat it. Absolutely. The most unique activity, it’s called the Hawks bill Turtle.

Oh, the turtle club. The Turtle Club. Yeah. Turtle. Turtle. Calala Island is a nesting [00:26:00] site for the endangered Hawks Bill Turtle between March and October. Female hawksbill turtles appear on land to nest and lay between 60 and 150 eggs at a time, you can watch the phenomenon happen.

Just asked to be woken up if an encounter occurs overnight . An encounter March 24th through March 28th. Will it be turtle season and hopefully not bug season. I’ve actually seen this in person in the Gulf of Florida.

It is cool. So that’s a nice touch oh, the turtle’s approaching. We gotta be very quiet and not to scare it away. Oh, it’s really getting there. 150 eggs. Oh, crikey. That’s a, it’s an insane amount I always thought the hatchings were cooler than the laying, Ooh, I don’t know what, maybe you get both.

Could be depending on the time of year. I’m not a turtle expert. What was the college word? Paradisical was the other [00:27:00] one. What would the turtle expert be? Listeners in the turtle club can comment here. I used four certs.

Not a lot of people have four Hilton certs.

They’ve gotten harder to earn in the last year or two. It’s around 250,000 points a night. Is there an argument here if you’re sitting on a million Hilton is it worth it to do a fifth night free on this? Ooh. America loves math once again. In the worst case scenario, you wouldn’t have Amex points, you wouldn’t have Hilton points, and there are these frequent opportunities to buy points.

If you were to buy a million points at a half a cent per point you would spend $5,000 in cash, right? And get a lot of credit card spend in. You might even use the Plum card and get a lot of spend on that. Or maybe the BILT Palladium card. Ooh, and you’re going to get this $2,510 rebate or refund after your stay, so [00:28:00] maybe you’re paying about $2,500 for a four night stay. If you’re booking it with points, maybe you get the fifth night free. I don’t know about the terms for a Calala or SLH on this one. The answer to everything is still more credit cards, and this is how I have these certs because I’ve gone between surpasses aspires, and I’ve even signed up for Hilton cards when they’ve offered the no lifetime language:

offers allowing you to get multiple Hilton cards for multiple signup bonuses, even if you’ve already had them. Wow, this worked out extremely well. I think what a fortunate thing that I saw, the promotion, I had the certs. I’m sure not many listeners will have all the certs and they probably won’t have the points either.

Yeah, I see an argument here for buying points. I think there’s people who are not really involved in points and miles who could be talked into this, right? When you include the wire transfer element. This is basically just a cheap I can’t believe I’m using the word cheap to [00:29:00] describe this.

Highly discounted. Let’s be serious for a second. Let’s say there’s a honeymooning couple that’s looking at this right now. I know people who have spent $50,000 on their wedding. Oh, that hurts. That hurts. , I could never conceive of it, but it absolutely happens.

When you compare the cost of some of the weddings that people do these days, this is like a bargain honeymoon, right? Oh, yes. Oh, yes. I don’t know what your goals are as a couple with your honeymoon, but whether it’s to flex on social media or just legitimately get away by yourselves.

Yeah, the picnic basket, you can go out on that secluded area. The picnic basket. Maybe some chicken noodle soup too, if you want that or whatever food you desire. Oh, this is the special food we had when we met for the first day. Or all these eccentric things. We really like the music of the Hurdy Gurdy.

Can you guys get that? Can [00:30:00] we have a special song? Yeah, maybe a different instrument. If the Hurdy Gurdy is not available, you have any special requests for your visit? I’m sure they’d accommodate that. I really like the idea of it. If there’s anybody that’s really in need of a couple’s trip, this is the ultimate deal. Yeah, float the wire transfer, spend 5,000 on credit, especially a business credit card with 0 APR if you don’t have the funds.

And hopefully it’ll work out. I say hopefully it’d be strange not getting the wire transfer and then saying to Hilton, I booked this thing. I have the screenshot and they gotta pay me Right? What’s going on? It’s now more than a month after the stay, and I still don’t see the money, what’s going on, but I’m sure they’ll make good of it.

You were saying before the show, I’m sure Hilton would have our back. I would think so. We’ve seen so many bizarre things.

We go back to the Conservation International deal with the American Airlines advantage. The Kate Spade deal. Fitness powders that may or may not be right, 300. We’ve seen it all and yet. Here we sit. [00:31:00] And yet we live! I’ve never heard of a hotel offering to wire you money.

Justin? Why can’t I just get the cash money at the end of the stay? What? Here’s a certified check that you could definitely cash out, or will Western Union you. Why does it need to be a wire? Maybe they really like the show, the Wire.

I’ll have to book my flights to and from. The phone rep said something about this whole transfer situation to verify the transfer. ’cause I’m of course concerned about that. The phone rep said within a week, the hotel will contact you to arrange for this transfer.

Send them your flight information make sure that all is good and will be expecting you. I think this will be the only time in my life when I went to an airport and someone is holding up a sign for a luxurious transfer to get to a hotel. I’ve hated on limos before. I don’t really see a reason to take a limo from the Las Vegas airport to a casino when I can just uber there and pay maybe 20 bucks using Uber credits and [00:32:00] discounted Uber gift cards.

But some people want that luxurious stay. Here’s an opportunity for the frugal Justin to have what might be the most luxurious stay in the world, or at least one of them. And I think it’s only appropriate upon your return that you make yourself available to the Churn and Burn Podcast.

We are open for interviews, media inquiries. you would be my second guest who’s done a report of this place. We heard before outsized value on the Hilton certs because Marriott, I don’t think you’re gonna get this Hyatt, they cap it. Yeah, usually. Unless you get the ultimate cert, but you can’t get four of them, as far as I know, unless you have player four or five mode.

I’m definitely gonna take video, bring my Insta 360 camera, and use my Lowe’s rewards that I’ve been accumulating for some fans. I do have a neck fan, but I’m sure I can invest and deploy the Lowe’s rewards. Deploy the capital dollars to be outfitted for this and be ready to [00:33:00] beat the heat. But before we end, we have some listener questions.

I have a page on subscribestar.com similar to Patreon. You can go to subscribe star.com, search Hurdy Gurdy Travel, and I offer the ability for listeners to ask questions for me and guests on the show. Some listeners did send in questions. This was a quick episode as this promo just came up today. Short notice, sorry, but we gotta get this out before this thing sells out.

Listener Mario, thanks for your support. Mario asked, can this be reproduced? Interesting question. Time is definitely ticking. That’s why we’re recording now. And maybe you can meet me on Calala Island. It looks like fewer than 10 rooms and the dates I picked, I refreshed the page and some of them are already sold out.

I think this will sell out in coming days as more people find out about this and people find out that this is probably a really good idea, but very difficult to get the certs. I think you can reproduce [00:34:00] the points in a short manner as long as it’s not a situation like you buy the points or transfer and then you’re waiting, and then it sells out.

Some risk there, I think. Yeah, you’re smart to get this out tomorrow. If anybody who’s listening to this just book it now. Do it now. Listener question number two from Richard. Thanks Richard for your support. He asked any sweet flight deals to make it work. We did cover that. It’s AA from Philly to Miami and then Miami to the island, and I saw as low as 10 K aa, so that’s really good, and I’m sure it could be also booked with Atmos.

You could transfer your BILT points to Atmos, or if you have the Atmos credit cards, I think that would work really well from Philly. Not bad, and I can even play it super safe. Arrive in Miami the night before and then fly from Miami to that airport, you think that’s the way to go? Yeah, you want to try to get some kind of nonstop to Managua [00:35:00] from whatever hub you’re gonna go to and Miami to Manawa.

If you’re based like me or in Atlanta, maybe you get yourself to a Latin American hub, like a Mexico City or a Panama. Just go from there. But at that point you’re probably gonna be dealing with the international points carriers.

Ah, things get convoluted. Yeah. Just fly to Miami. Yeah, I agree. You can definitely fly to Miami from Atlanta. That’s not bad, right? That’s the way to go. I believe I’ve done that before. I’ve done Delta to Atlanta and then Atlanta to Florida. I’m sure that will work. Yeah. And you avoid having to figure out how to leverage your points for COPA or whatever.

Something doesn’t work or it just gets complicated. Yeah, so look, I’ll just take the easy way out. I used Roame, R-O-A-M-E travel and they were showing aa. It was a fun episode. We had a lot of laughs, really cool promo. I should do this with the time with still being independent and not having a traditional nine to five having to be in an office.

I think this is the way to go. I didn’t do [00:36:00] the JetBlue 25 for 25 challenge last year. I was considering it. It was a large season of travel and I still had a lot of other things happening, but now I’m more of a free agent in 2026. More podcasting, more YouTube, more content. Yeah. It’ll be interesting because you can’t come and do the trip report after you’re back until that wire hits your account.

We need that wire, but I think in the worst case, we’re just out certs. If you would say, what is the best place to use a Hilton Free Night Cert because I’m sure there are a hundred blog posts about that. This is probably on that top 10.

Absolutely. It’s is an incredible deal. Book it. Certificate of approval from Churn and Burn. All right. What about you? If you had the certs in your account, would you do it? We were talking about this off mic earlier. Obviously it’s an amazing, unique, once in a lifetime property. I am a complete diva, Justin, and anytime I see the word mosquito net brought [00:37:00] up, I just lose interest.

It is a long journey. There’s a long boat ride and it is a lot of free nights, certs and or points to do it. I think you’re right to do it for the money. And I would say for 80% of people this is a dream vacation.

$2,510. All right. What if we upped the stakes? What if we gave you $5,010? Okay. Four. Oh man. Four free nights certs. Five. Yeah. Or 5,020. I’m in maybe 5,000. I’m in. Oh. Oh, he is in. He is in. All right. Calala Island. Come on up the incentive. Churn and Burn podcast@gmail.com.

You too could be part of the turtle club, eating lobster pizza and seeing eggs. This is really exciting though. I’m glad you’re going. I’m really looking forward to hearing all your thoughts about it, watching your Insta three sixty’s, do I use the Dell credits immediately and just get the X five camera rather than the X four.

This is your sign.

And one more time where listeners can find your [00:38:00] podcast. Yes. Churn and Burn podcast spotify and Apple Music are typically where people like to find me. Thanks a lot, Justin.

Maybe I can use a $2,510 incentive to save on the editing time that I put in all this. You should pay somebody on Fiverr to do it, or maybe someone on the island like, Hey, could you convert these videos for me?

Here we go. Just borrow this for a little bit. Yeah, get the manager’s wifi with the fast speed. Thanks James and thanks everyone for listening.
